I figure all the rain we got last week flushed him out.

Yep. Not looking to hard this time of year for rattlesnakes. Plus I’ve always been able to take care of anything with a .22.  I’m about to get to where I can’t hit something the size of a snake head. 😀

In the wild I leave them alone, on the property they are eliminated.

Dang, that is a bad dude.

The 5+" last week and the 6-7" of rain we have predicted this week might drive those suckers out around here too.

I hear they make a great addition to a compost pile....😵

That one is big enough to send you home...  Glad you saw him before somebody stumbled on him.

No picture but me and Sadie (granddaughters dachshund), come up on another snake yesterday. This time a black runner. Don’t know what he was up to. He was all wadded up and not moving. Poked at him with a limb and couldn’t get him to move. Left him alone and this morning he was gone.
